FEATURED OFFSHORE PROJECT Salamander Agrees to Sell 40% in B8/38 and G4/50 Concessions to SONAS Petroleum June 5 | Bualuang | Region: Asia - SouthEast | Operator: Salamander Energy Salamander Energy recently entered a non-binding heads of agreement to sell 40% of its interest in the B8/38 and G4/50 concessions in the Gulf of Thailand to SONA Petroleum. Terms of the agreement specify that SONA will pay $250 million for the share of B8/38 and $30 million for the share of G4/50. Additionally, Salamander will carry SONA's costs of drilling 2 exploration wells in the G4/50 concession up to an agreed upon cap and SONA will pay Salamander up to $15 million in the event of a commercial discovery in G4/50.
